Taurus has teamed up with Strike Industries to introduce a new version of its popular 9mm GX4 strike-fired pistol: The new GX4 Strike Bravo, a modular handgun with a threaded barrel and a removable, folding brace.

"The GX4 Strike Bravo combines compact carry performance with enhanced tactical stability to deliver accuracy and confidence at longer ranges," Taurus says.

The new compact handgun features an all new chassis and modular grip system that's similar to the Taurus GX4 Carry TORO Compact grip. It was co-developed with Strike and specifically engineered to accept the Strike Industries FSA Single Stabilizer brace.

The folding brace system provides enhanced stability by creating more surface contact between the user and the firearm, which means greater control, improved shootability, and enhanced precision at extended distances compared to an un-braced handgun.

“The GX4 Strike Bravo is Taurus stepping in a bold new direction,” said Laura Prieto, Taurus marketing manager, in a release. “By teaming up with Strike Industries, we didn’t just add a brace — we co-engineered a dedicated chassis and modular grip system to support it. That collaboration created an affordable, compact pistol that offers shooters extra stability, control, and versatility — expanding what they can expect from the GX4 family!”

The new GX4 Strike Bravo comes with a T.O.R.O. optic-ready slide and a threaded barrel (1/2 x 28), so setting it up as a defensive firearm or a truck gun with a suppressor and a red dot is super easy. Plus, the brace attaches via a rail section behind the slide, so it can be removed whenever you need something closer to the compact dimensions of the GX4 pistol.

A reversible charging handle affixed to the rear of the slide offers a customizable setup, and the Picatinny underbarrel accessory rail provides space for a gun light or other accessories.

The new GX4 Strike Bravo, which is available now through authorized Taurus dealers throughout the U.S., maintains full compatibility with all GX4 magazines, basepads, barrels, and other accessories.

The newer FSA Single Stabilizer uses the same arms and modular stabilizer end pieces as the company's Strike FSA Dual, but has a strengthened hinge of steel instead of aluminum for a rigid and robust feel, enhanced by a fitment that guarantees little to no play when extended and when folded.

In its folded position, the arm can be firmly thrown into the extended position quickly without risk of damaging the new beefy hinge. The Stabilizer has a QD point at the 6 o'clock position for sling attachments.

About the Taurus GX4 Carry TORO Compact

The pistol the new GX4 Strike Bravo is based on is the GX4 Carry TORO Compact, which in turn is a larger version of Taurus' first-ever micro-compact 9mm handgun.

The new Taurus is based on the GX4 Carry TORO Compact handgun, a larger version of the micro-compact GX4.

The standard striker-fired GX4 Carry TORO Compact has a 15+1-round ammo capacity and includes the Taurus Optics Ready Option slide for mounting red-dot optics. It also adds an accessory rail and includes three backstrap options for the grip. The pistol maintains the GX4 family's ultra-concealable 1-inch width and stands as a robust, modern firearm that almost anyone can afford.
