I had the opportunity to wear a pair of their new Cold Snap II boots during a hunt testing the new Winchester Supreme Long Range ammunition.
I didn't fill my tag until nearly the last minute of the last day, making it one of the more grueling hunts in my career.
It would have been a real challenge to be alert and ready when a shot opportunity finally presented itself, not to mention just be there in the stand at all. The Cold Snap II boots were a key part of making that happen.

LaCrosse Cold Snap II Insulation, Waterproofing and Traction
Cold Snap II boots are constructed with full-grain leather and 900-denier nylon, so they benefit from proper break-in before a hunt. They also feature LaCrosse’s Permafrost Outsole with deep, aggressive lugs for traction in snow and mud.
The specially formulated outsole won’t harden in cold temperatures, which I can vouch for.
They’re available in jet black and Mossy Oak Country Roots (men’s) and Olive Midnight (women’s).
If your feet don’t run as cold as mine, or your climate is slightly warmer, there is also a 1200-gram version.
Both models are exceptionally waterproof, especially for a boot that isn’t clad in rubber. This is attributed to the company’s Dry-Core lining, which balances moisture resistance with breathability.
