The Hook & Barrel team was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of Chase Rice’s just-released independent album ELDORA while on location filming The Chase. Finally, the rest of the world is getting to hear it. Gathered around a campfire in an epic Utah canyon, Chase played through early cuts of the new album, and it was clear: this wasn’t just a new album—it was a turning point.
“Hearing Chase perform songs from ELDORA around the campfire while filming 'The Chase' was a real privilege,” says Hook & Barrel’s Director of Marketing and PR Niki Morrison. “The album marks a clear evolution in his songwriting; more refined and extremely engaging in a way that pushes his earlier work to the next level.”

Available now, ELDORA is the second full-length project Chase has released as a fully independent artist, following the momentum of 2024’s Go Down Singin’. After years of Platinum success under a major label, Rice made the bold move to prioritize creative freedom over formula, and ELDORA is the payoff.

Written in the solitude on the outskirts of Eldora, Colorado, just days after a performance at Red Rocks, the album channels the quiet clarity of the mountains. What Chase captured there is raw and honest—a collection of songs that reflect life, growth, and the beauty of letting go of the pressure to make "radio hits."
“It’s not radio hits, I don’t think — maybe one of ‘em turns into one, that’d be cool if it does — but it’s just maturing, in general, in life,” Chase says.

With tracks like “Cowboy Goodbye,” “Country & Western” (ft. Madeline Edwards), and the title track “Eldora,” this album feels less like a product and more like a personal chapter. ELDORA isn’t just Chase Rice’s new album; it’s his most authentic work yet, and it was well worth the wait.
