In October 2024, Christensen Arms released GONE, a 36-minute film on the life of hunting legend and Christensen Arms ambassador Jim Shockey. Directed by Shockey’s son, Branlin Shockey, the film was previewed at two screenings in partnership with Bass Pro Shops before premiering on YouTube, where it passed 100,000 views in its first day. Watch the full film below.
GONE isn’t a hunting film so much as a life story. It follows Shockey’s early years, a career spent traveling the world, the loss of his wife, Louise, and what he hopes to pass on to the next generation, set against the Canadian backcountry he calls home. Hunters will recognize the man they grew up watching, but the film’s themes of life, loss and chasing your dreams reach well beyond the hunting world.
