As I have been annually for nearly 15 years, I’ve been on the ATA Show floor checking out the latest offerings in the archery world. This year, perhaps the talk of the show is the Bowtech Alliance and Alliance 33 compound hunting bow.
“The Alliance doesn't just fit your style it cuts the weight and the nonsense,” Bowtech says. “Two axle-to-axle options let you choose your perfect balance, whether you want compact maneuverability or long-range stability.
"The lightweight design keeps you mobile and ready, while the aggressive look backs up the performance. And when it's time to tune, the refined Dead Lock Cam System makes it faster, easier, and more intuitive, no press, no guesswork, just total control and precision with a turn of an Allen wrench.”
It’s incredibly smooth to draw, shoot, and otherwise operate. It feels very “dead in the hand,” as is commonly referenced with bows. It’s also more adjustable than previous Bowtech models.
“We are excited to announce the all-new Bowtech Alliance,” said Todd Snader with Bowtech. “The Alliance comes in two configurations with either a 30- or 33-inch axle-to-axle length."

Bowtech Alliance Features
The Alliance is 30.5 inches axle-to-axle. The Alliance 33 is a bit longer bow for taller, larger-framed shooters. It measures 33 inches axle-to-axle.
“We have a new riser design,” Snader said. “It’s a bit of a departure for us, especially since 2005. Now, we have a bit straighter riser design. It’s caged, so we’re able to take an aluminum-style riser, make it super forgiving, super stiff, keep speed up, and still utilize our center-pivot design.”
Features to know about include the DeadLock Cam System, GripLock technology, V2 CenterMass Sight, Stabilizer Dampener, rotating modules with FlipDisc, and multiple stabilizer locations.
“Additionally, it has our DeadLock technology, but with a much more intuitive adjustment system,” Snader said. “We’ve also added some laser reference marks to make it very easy for consumers to make their own adjustments without the fear of messing things up. You can reset the cam and put it right back where you want it.”
The bow is offered in six different finishes, including solid colors of Red Dirt, Stealth Grey, OD Green, Sandstone, and camo patterns in Mossy Oak Bottomland, Kuiu Verde 2.0, and Optifade Subalpine.
“This year, we have an all-new color,” Snader said. “It’s called ‘Red Dirt.’ This addition was based on customer demand. They’ve been asking for another dirt-brown color. So, we came out with this.”
These bows are available with BowTech dealers today. You can get the Bowtech Alliance and Alliance 33.
