With more than 400,000 units sold, the SilencerCo Omega 300 DT is the best-selling suppressor ever made.

That number alone sets it apart from every competitor in the category.

The current production model carries forward that proven platform with updated texture and a gold-toned indexing ring — but the case for the Omega 300 was already made long before the cosmetic refresh.

The SilencerCo Omega 300 DT isn't just the best-selling suppressor of all time. In fact, Hook & Barrel editors are crowning it as The King of Cans. Here's why.

SilencerCO 300 DT is a versatile suppressor that matches with most rifles.

Omega 300 DT: History's Most Versatile Rifle Suppressor

The SilencerCo Omega 300 DT is the one-can-fits-most-everything, uber-versatile rifle suppressor.

Consisting of a 17-4 SS baffle stack nestled within a lightweight Titanium tube, the Omega 300 DT is rated for everything from short-barreled patrol rifles up through massive .300 Win. Mag. moose guns.

The mad geniuses at SilencerCo set out to craft the most versatile rifle can ever, and they pulled it off in spades.

The Omega 300 DT looks stylish on most rifles.

Whether your ballistic proclivities wander to competition, hunting, LE, home defense or just burning bullets on the range, the Omega 300 DT makes shooting most anything quieter, more effective and more enjoyable.

SilencerCo is a powerhouse in the modern sound suppressor world. Their Omega 300 DT offers superlative performance, rarefied materials science and cutting-edge engineering, all at a very sweet price.

In The Year Of The Silencer, The Omega 300 Reigns Supreme

So far, 2026 has been the most exciting year for gun folk in my lifetime. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, the transfer tax for sound suppressors and short-barreled weapons has dropped from $200 to zero.

The registration requirement should go away as well, once the courts have had their way with it. However, the practical ramifications are that sound suppressors just got way more affordable.

Additionally, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has astronomically improved processing times.

My personal record was more than 18 months for a Form 4 transfer back in the day. Heck, a guy could die of old age waiting on those things. However, since the law changed on January 1, my transfers have been taking about a week.

So long as you are fairly computer savvy, you can build SBRs (short-barreled rifles) and transfer sound suppressors way easier and more quickly than ever before … and the transfers are free.

Amidst this exciting new milieu, the Omega 300 DT offers a shockingly versatile and cost-effective suppressor solution.

Omega 300 DT Calibre Compatibility, Mounts, and Field Use

The Omega 300 DT is rated for everything from 5.56x45mm up through .300 Win. Mag. Barrel length restrictions are 7 inches for 300 BLK, 10 inches for 5.56 NATO, 16 inches for 7.62 NATO and 20 inches for the Win. Mag. This can doesn’t care if you shoot rock and roll or not.

One seriously neat feature of the Omega 300 DT is the anchor brake on the nasty end.

This inspired device captures the residual muzzle chaos and redirects it to the sides. In so doing, this otherwise-wasted energy can be used to help mitigate felt recoil.

The suppressor comes with a 5/8x24 Bravo direct-thread mount. This should accommodate the vast majority of the world’s .30-caliber hosts.

The SilencerCo Omega 300 DT in all its glory.

By mixing and matching SilencerCo’s sundry Bravo mounts, this one suppressor can be used on a wide variety of host guns. The unit comes with the necessary tooling to make that happen.

The Omega 300 DT is a sealed suppressor, so it is essentially maintenance-free. Wipe it down from time to time, and you’re good to go. Use this can as directed, and it will outlive your grandchildren.

How The Omega 300 DT Handles .300 Win. Mag Rifles

In .300 Win. Mag., the Omega 300 DT carves away enough of the thunder as to make you a stealthier hunter.

The same can be said of your typical .308 deer-slaying bolt gun. The combination of a traditional hunting rifle and this reasonably priced suppressor makes for a very economical package for whitetails and mule deer.

Where the real fun begins, however, is when you combine it with a decent precision rifle and some home-rolled subsonic .308 loads.

Factory subsonic .308 is both spendy and tough to find. DIY subs, however, are easily within the technical capability of most American shooters. If you can change the oil in your car, you are way overqualified to craft your own subsonic .308 at home.

A basic single-stage reloading setup will set you back a couple hundred bucks. I use pulled surplus GI bullets and Trail Boss powder.

The details are available online. Tweak your loads to just under 1,125 feet per second—the speed of sound in dry air—and get ready to have your world rocked.

SilencerCo Omega 300 DT at $699: The Value Case

The end result shoots beautifully straight and is, with subsonic ammo, movie-grade quiet. This is the sound-suppressed rifle rig you have been looking for all your life.

As it still throws big .30-caliber bullets, the resulting combination retains some serious real-world utility. At appropriate ranges, you could hunt most North American game with this rifle/suppressor combo.

The Omega 300 DT is a top-end suppressor from an industry-leading manufacturer at a very reasonable price. Rugged, versatile and magnificently turned out, the Omega 300 DT is indeed quite the bargain.

With an MSRP of $699 and no transfer tax, this superlative can comes in markedly cheaper than the competition. There’s a reason it is the most popular rifle suppressor on Planet Earth.
